Goh joined the firm in 1998, but she had been working with the firm long before it officially opened in the city-state. She began her legal career as a barrister with the Crown Prosecution Service in London in 1991, before returning to Singapore in 1994 to work at Khattar Wong & Partners, then WFW’s correspondent law firm in Singapore, for three years. She joined the Singapore office of Sinclair Roche & Temperley in 1997, until the firm was acquired by WFW in September 1998.
A well-known figure in the region’s shipping finance and maritime sector, Goh was a founding member of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA), an international organisation for women involved in the maritime transportation business and related trades worldwide, which was established in 1998. Goh drafted the original WISTA Singapore constitution and was the chapter’s first vice president. WISTA Singapore was the first national chapter of WISTA International to be formed in Asia-Pacific.
