Fox Mandal Associates and JSA assist on Sapthrishi Buildcon’s USD21.3 million acquisition of the iconic AVM Studios in the state of Chennai, India.
JSA partner Aravind Raj led the transaction team, representing Sapthrishi, with the assistance of senior associate Priyanka Ponna and associate Shreya Subramanian. JSA conducted detailed title due diligence, including litigation searches across relevant courts and registries. The firm provided end-to-end support, covering structuring, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, and co-ordination through to closing.
Fox Mandal Associates acted for AVM Studios. Senior partner Jayaprakash Padmanaban and associate Lakshmi Kandasubramanian from the firm’s Chennai team advised AVM on the sale of its immovable property.
Sapthrishi Buildcon, part of the VVA Hotels group, is a Chennai-based real estate developer focused on residential, commercial and retail projects. AVM, founded in 1945 in Vadapalani, Chennai, is one of India’s oldest and most famous film production studios.
