Rouse has bolstered its Asia Pacific team by recruiting former Qualcomm patent director Erick Robinson to serve as the IP firm’s Asia Pacific chief patent counsel based in China.

Robinson was in charge of a spectrum of Qualcomm’s regional IP issues, including drafting and litigation, as well as regulatory, policy and antitrust matters. Recently he has been managing privacy issues, counselling business leaders and negotiating technology and software agreements.
Prior to joinng Qualcomm, Robinson worked for law firms and as in-house counsel in the US in Texas, North Carolina and New York.
“My role will be to help the firm’s technology-rich clients navigate the Asia Pacific environment, especially in China, working both at a strategic and advisory level and also at a hands-on level with prosecution and litigation”, Robinson said.
