Dear Editor,

I would like to share with your readers my thoughts on being a woman in the legal profession in Bengaluru. Clichéd as it may seem, I was driven to pursue a law degree and subsequently become a litigator by a desire to be the change I wanted to see in the world. I chose to participate in a game that is largely played by men and was cautioned about the possible drawbacks. But, being a 21st century woman who was taught to fight, I thought I would be fine. Little did I know that I would encounter chauvinism, bullying, disregard and every other negative behaviour that is directed at women each day.
