Sidley Austin has recently hired experienced M&A lawyer and scientist Wendy Pan in its New York office.
Pan joined the firm as a partner in New York, and will be eventually relocated to the firm’s Shanghai office. Her practice focuses on life sciences, technology and other industries, including both inbound and outbound transactions between China and the US.

Pan has experience advising clients on leveraged buyouts, stock/cash acquisitions, mergers, tender offers and going-private transactions. She also has extensive knowledge in handling intellectual property-related matters.
“Chinese companies’ growing interest in investment and M&A opportunities outside China signals an increasing demand for the deep knowledge and insight Wendy brings to the table,” said Thomas Albrecht, the firm’s Asia Pacific managing partner.
