Mediator training opportunity

The Centre for Advanced Mediation Practice, Bengaluru, is organizing a five-day training course in mediation from 17 to 21 February 2017. The course is aimed mainly at general counsel and senior lawyers who are interested in adding mediation to their practice.

Course instructors will include Sriram Panchu and Sudhanshu Batra, both of whom are senior advocates and mediators; NR Madhava Menon, founder director, National Law School of India University; and Bruce Edwards, founder director and former chairman of the board of JAMS, a leading provider commercial dispute resolution services.

Speaking to India Business Law Journal, Laila Ollapally, founder of the Centre for Advanced Mediation Practice, said: “We aim to have not more than 25 people on the course … We already have one former Supreme Court judge and one high court judge who have registered.”
