Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) acted for Kwality Wall’s (India) (KWIL) on the ice-cream company’s debut on the BSE and the NSE following its demerger from Hindustan Unilever into KWIL under a scheme of arrangement.

Acting as the sole transaction counsel to Hindustan Unilever in relation to the demerger and listing of KWIL, CAM partner Devaki Mankad led the transaction team.

Associates Aniruddh Saraswat, Archit Jain, Eashaan Agrawal, Khushi Parekh and Sajal Soni assisted the CAM team. Partners Ramgovind Kuruppath and Archit Bhatnagar led the corporate team.

The stock debuted on 16 February on the NSE at INR29.80 and on the BSE at INR29.90, a 26% discount on the reference price of INR40.

KWIL manages brands such as Kwality Wall’s, Magnum and Cornetto in the Indian market. It focuses on its own cold chain network, brand strategy and distribution.
