Singapore law firm Collyer Law has appointed Hari Veluri as a director and head of its newly established disputes practice.

He joins from Providence Law Asia, where he spent four years and most recently served as a director.

Veluri specialises in complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, fraud and asset recovery, and corporate investigations.

“Introducing a disputes capability is therefore not a departure from our core offering, but a logical extension of it. Hari’s appointment reflects that intent,” Azmul Haque, founder and managing director of Collyer Law, told Asia Business Law Journal.

“He brings with him significant experience in complex litigation and arbitration, combined with strong commercial judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach. Importantly, he understands the dynamics of high-growth and investor-backed businesses, which is critical to how we advise our clients.”

Collyer Law’s disputes practice will focus on sectors including technology, venture capital, financial services and high-net-worth individuals, and will advise on risk mitigation, pre-dispute strategy and active representation in contentious proceedings.

“As capital continues to flow into high-growth sectors – particularly in areas such as generative and agentic AI – we are seeing an increase in disputes involving multiple stakeholders, evolving business models and cross-border considerations,” Haque said.
