Norton Rose Fulbright has hired Han Lijie as a partner at its Shanghai office, strengthening its corporate practice.

Tong Ai, head of Norton Rose Fulbright’s Shanghai office, said in a press release: “His [Han’s] experience advising clients on complex transactions, coupled with his understanding of China’s evolving regulatory landscape, will be invaluable to our clients.”

Before joining Norton Rose Fulbright, Han spent eight years as a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman’s Shanghai office. He previously worked as an of counsel at DLA Piper’s Beijing office for nearly two years and, before that, practised at Latham & Watkins.

His practice covers M&A, project development and finance, sanctions, export controls and trade compliance. He has extensive experience advising technology companies, investment banks, state-owned enterprises and private equity firms on cross-border transactions and strategic investments, with a particular focus on providing end-to-end legal support for complex cross-border deals.

Han also advises Chinese companies on their international expansion, as well as US and European companies and investors operating in China. He has a substantial client base in the semiconductor industry.
