Allen & Overy partner Alex Pease in December announced his retirement as chairman of the London-based firm’s India group, a position he had held for two years.

He is replaced by Jonathan Brayne, who has been with the firm since 1978 and became a partner in 1985. The newly created post of managing partner for the India group has been filled by Andrew Harrow, who has accepted the position in addition to his existing role as head of Allen & Overy’s Asian capital markets group.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed developing and driving forward the firm’s strategy for India,” said Pease.
Commenting on his firm’s alliance with Indian firm Trilegal, Pease added that “working with Trilegal and overseeing the development of our referral relationship has been a real pleasure”.
