Juris Corp has promoted senior associate Detty Davis to the partnership. Davis joined the firm in October 2007 and was instrumental in overhauling its knowledge management systems. She formerly worked at Aptech, an IT training and education company with 1,305 learning centres around the world, and at Ramesh Makhija & Co, a sole proprietorship focused on banking, litigation and property documentation, where she advised clients such as Citibank, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait and HDFC Bank.

She has more than 10 years’ experience in banking, litigation and intellectual property.
Speaking to India Business Law Journal, Davis said: “I am absolutely delighted as it means a greater role in crystallizing and implementing the growth strategies of our firm.” Juris Corp’s founder partner, H Jayesh, added that Davis’ promotion “is a richly deserved recognition of the role she has played in the firm’s recent growth”.
Juris Corp has also promoted six associates to senior associate level. It now has 11 partners, three of counsel and 44 associates.
