Employment permit no longer required for HK, Macau and Taiwan residents

The State Council released on 3 August 2018 a circular to abolish 11 administrative approval items in an effort to simplify administration further. According to the announcement, residents from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan (HMT residents) no longer need to obtain employment permits to work in China.
