Navin Syiem and Avirup Nag, formerly partners at HSA Advocates, joined IndusLaw on 12 January 2016 along with five other team members.
Prior to HSA, Syiem had stints at Ajay Bahl & Co (now AZB & Partners), Trilegal, GE Capital, Afridi & Angell and Ashurst. Having spent almost six years at HSA, he said he “felt it was time for newer challenges”.

Nag spent just over two years at HSA and before that was with Trilegal and Herbert Smith (prior to its merger with Freehills).
Syiem will focus on corporate and finance work while Nag will concentrate on projects, energy and infrastructure matters. The team that has joined them consists of principal associateAbhishek Bhalla, senior associate Shraddha Malhotra and associates Niyati Bhatt, Rohan Ghosh and Shruti Barua.
