Norton Rose Fulbright has recently hired a dispute resolution team from Fried Frank in response to soaring demand in Hong Kong.
Alfred Wu and Philip Nunn will join the Hong Kong office of Norton Rose Fulbright as partner and consultant, respectively. They move along with three associates – Kevin Hong, Anita Fong and Muriel Cheng. The team’s practice covers general commercial disputes, construction disputes and contentious regulatory issues.

Wu is experienced in a variety of general dispute areas. He also focuses on contentious and non-contentious construction matters. Another focus of his practice is the representation of corporate clients, financial institutions and their directors and senior officers on various contentious regulatory matters.
Nunn has worked in Hong Kong for 37 years, and has significant experience in contentious and non-contentious construction matters. He has handled many complex cases for government organizations, public corporations and major corporations.
“Chinese companies have been using Hong Kong extensively as a platform and springboard for investments in overseas markets. With recent market volatility, we expect to see more dispute work from these corporations in Hong Kong,” said Phillip John, head of North Asia at Norton Rose Fulbright.
