In the first tie-up between an Indian law firm and a UK “magic circle” firm, Allen & Overy and Trilegal have announced that they will co-operate on client referrals, training and marketing.
Alex Pease, a partner at Allen & Overy, described the tie-up as a “non-exclusive referral relationship by which we will refer clients to one another, unless particular clients have a different preference”.
“We gain a credible story to tell to our international clients about the service that we can provide in India. This is a huge advantage for us in seeking to win cross-border work involving India,” said Pease.
