Davar started his career with Amarchand Mangaldas, where managing partners MP Bharucha and Alka Bharucha worked for 13 years at partnership level. Davar subsequently moved on to P&A Law Offices in Delhi, where he was a senior associate before going on to set up his own law firm in Mumbai, Rukshad Davar & Associates. At Bharucha & Partners, Davar will focus on corporate law, M&A, regulatory matters, capital markets and direct taxation.
“He is a rare combination,” said Bharucha & Partners’ managing partner MP Bharucha. “He is qualified as a chartered accountant and as a solicitor from Bombay and England. His practice nicely complements our M&A and corporate law practice.”
Explaining his decision to join Bharucha, Davar told India Business Law Journal: “As my practice was growing, I needed to be part of a full-service law firm. My partners at Bharucha and I share a common vision, ethos and work ethic across the practice as well as on soft issues and I look forward to growing with the firm.”
