Boston-based law firm McCarter & English has hired Gaytri Kachroo, a specialist in cross-border deals with India, as a partner.

Previously with Burns & Levinson in Boston, Kachroo counsels large and small public and private companies on their domestic and global transactions, including M&As, joint ventures and outsourcing. She also co-chairs the Boston Bar Association’s International Law Section and acts as outside general counsel to emerging companies in the fields of energy, technology, life sciences, architecture, engineering and construction.
“Gaytri is an extraordinarily knowledgeable counsellor with an entrepreneurial focus. She will help our clients tap into burgeoning Asian opportunities, enabling the firm to service the growing tide of inbound Indian investment,” said John McKelway, managing partner of McCarter & English’s Boston office.
McCarter & English has roughly 400 lawyers in seven offices in Boston, Hartford, New York, Newark and Philadelphia, among others.
