The Executive Centre USD585m Financing

Clifford Chance and A&O Shearman advised on a USD585 million hybrid financing for The Executive Centre, a Hong Kong-headquartered provider of premium flexible workspaces and serviced offices.

The funding came from Apollo-managed funds, related entities and other long-term investors.

Apollo said the proceeds would be used to refinance The Executive Centre’s existing debt and support its continued expansion as demand for high-end flexible office space remained strong.

Clifford Chance acted as legal counsel to The Executive Centre. Partner Charlotte Leung led the team, supported by counsel Chit Kwong and Alexander Sorgese, associates Sachin Kinger and Hong Yang See, and trainee solicitors Donald Tsang and Oliver Lai.

Partner Shimin Lee handled the M&A elements of the transaction, with assistance from partner Tom Lin, counsel Wesley Tan, associate Denzyl Ang and trainee solicitor Emily Stanton.

A&O Shearman advised Apollo, with partners Matthew Del Rosso and Tom Jokelson leading the team. Additional support was provided by counsel Welber Yim and associate James Lau.

Founded in 1994, The Executive Centre operates more than 260 sites in 38 cities across 15 markets in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East.
