Your article Casting a wider net, which appeared in the December/January issue of India Business Law Journal was very interesting, informative and persuasive; more so because of its brief and lucid language and detailed study on the market.
While Coimbatore is considered to be the Manchester of the south, Chennai is growing up into a major automobile hub. The standard of education has improved in many south Indian cities and the standard of English among south Indians is comparable with that of their counterparts in the east, west or north of the country. The high literacy rate in the south is an important factor that has facilitated the growth of the legal services industry.
Corporate law, which now takes pride of place in the legal services industry, is attracting many young hopefuls and the compensation for working in the legal profession has increased in leaps and bounds.
