Japan’s m3 takes majority stake in health impetus

Japanese medical web portal company M3 has acquired a majority stake in Health Impetus, an Indian company focused on niche areas of the healthcare industry.

M3 acquired the stake by purchasing shares from Health Care at Home India and by subscribing to Health Impetus equity shares.

healthcare_technology_itIn addition to offering services for disease management, the integration with M3 will enable the Indian entity to provide patient care services including elderly mentally infirm schemes for chronic conditions such as cancer, diabetes and hepatitis B to help patients continue treatment and meet the high costs of medication.

M3 operates m3.com, a web portal for medical professionals that delivers healthcare related information to 250,000 physicians in Japan while also providing marketing and research and development support to pharmaceutical companies.

Health Impetus focuses on disease management through work with pharmaceutical companies; direct-to-consumer services; healthcare technology; and serving pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and doctors in niche areas of patient treatment management.
