Attracted by the booming legal outsourcing industry, Mphasis founder Jerry Rao has invested in the new Bangalore-based JuriMatrix, the Business Standard reported in September. The new legal solutions company is reportedly raising US$12 million in venture capital.

Among JuriMatrix’s clients is global investment bank JP Morgan and other large multinationals. The outsourcing company was set up by Sajan Poovayya, founder and managing partner of Bangalore law firm Poovayya & Co, known for advising some of the biggest hi-tech companies in the city.
Rajat Gupta, former global CEO of McKinsey, and Hema Ravichandar, former HR head of Infosys, are acting as advisers. Vijay Rao, a graduate of Dartmouth College in the US, is director of marketing.
