Dear Madam,
I read with interest and fascination your thought-provoking piece on the enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards (IBLJ, July/August 2009). I share the concerns expressed in your article. Indeed, the experiences described by the eminent lawyers and in-house counsel who have been interviewed by your correspondent reflect the situation both realistically and rationally.

I congratulate you on this excellent article. I hope it is widely read and circulated as it accurately demonstrates the complexity of problems and, in a sense, the malaise that is currently affecting the Indian legal system in terms of enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards.
