Kochhar & Co has hired Shahid Khan as a senior partner to boost the firm’s tax practice in New Delhi.

Khan, a former member of the Central Board of Direct Taxes, has practised law for 37 years. While working at the Central Board of Direct Taxes, he handled contentious income tax matters, trained senior level officials and helped frame policy.
Khan received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in governance and administration after developing software to create a comprehensive database of the financial affairs of individuals, business groups and other institutions.
Kochhar & Co now has 19 partners in Delhi.
