I refer to your article Setting up shop (IBLJ volume I issue 10) which I thought was great. I believe in the natural law of equilibration, in that everything will in one way or another, find its own balance and point of equilibrium with time.

I think that the writing is on the wall for India, in that the burgeoning demand is likely to attract further liberalization and openness in the retail sector. I was MTV Asia’s first regional counsel in the mid-1990s, and I was told then that MTV Asia would have an uphill task trying to set up shop in India. But MTV’s current presence in India and its commitment to its fans and subscribers there can only be testimony to the willingness of the people of India to constantly transform and adapt for success.
I remain a big fan of India and will continue to support bringing investors and businesses there.
