Luthra & Luthra has established an anti-piracy and anti-counterfeiting practice to bolster its enforcement capabilities.

The practice will be led by senior partner Vijay Sondhi and IP partner Ameet Datta. They have been joined by specialist enforcement lawyers Jay Bhardwaj, Munish Mehra and Amit Upadhyay, and IP and civil litigation lawyers Vaishali Kakra and Birender Bikram Singh, who were previously at Anand and Anand. In addition, the firm has hired Mihira Sood, who joins from an independent advocate.

The new hires take Luthra & Luthra’s IP team to 23 lawyers.
